Job DetailsJob Location: VASSAR, MI 48768Salary Range: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00The mission of the Program Director is “Helping Children & Families to be Victors.” RESPONSIBILITIES • Ensure all Program clients receive appropriate treatment, clinical case management, healthcare, and educational and recreational services. • Apply knowledge of WHS programs and services, including applicable licensing regulations and collaborative entities. • Ensure program compliance with licensing, contract requirements and applicable laws and policies. • Ensure all interactions with clients and staff are safe, healthy, dignified, and not intrusive, enforcing appropriate confidentiality and privacy. • Audit client schedules and case management to ensure proper collaboration with relevant parties. • Oversee the maintenance, use and security of all cameras, logs, files, and records. • Provide coverage of shifts and responsibilities of assigned staff. • Maintain and monitor timecards and All-Purpose Leave requests for assigned staff. • Conduct scheduled team meetings with assigned staff. • Coordinate with Staff Development Team to ensure training and development requirements are met. • Participate/attend and complete all required contractual, licensing and agency training successfully. • Function as a mandated reporter, as required by Michigan Child Protection Law. • Attend all required meetings. • Other duties, as assigned. USUAL TIME INVOLVEMENT Full Time: This is an exempt position. REPORTS TO Executive Director of Residential Programs DIRECT REPORTS Residential Care Supervisors and other designees as determined by program. QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Possesses a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college; Master’s degree in Social Work preferred. • Has extensive experience in clinical social work assessment and intervention techniques with youth in a social treatment focused residential program. • Has ability to prepare and review written reports that are accurate, objective, and logically organized. • Has ability to work effectively with people of diverse cultures and backgrounds including staff, clients, and families. • Has ability to control a group of youth, to visually assess and observe aberrant behavior in a youth or in a group and to affect appropriate intervention. • Has a working knowledge of Wolverine Human Services (WHS) and its scope of programs and services. Is familiar with other social service agencies and family courts and understands how they coordinate and relate to the operations of WHS. • Has a working knowledge of state licensing requirements and how they apply to the specific program operations of WHS. • Excellent verbal and written communication, leadership, and organizational skills. • Proficiency in WHS technology platforms and applications. • Level 1 Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) endorsement for basic core skills. • Completion of Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) seminar provided by the agency, with ability to apply and perform CPI techniques. • Valid Michigan drivers or chauffeur’s license or ability to obtain chauffeur’s license.
