Experienced Caregiver / HHA / CNA

We are seeking caregivers who are confident with hands-on care and comfortable working independently in a private home setting.

McKenney Home Care is a family-owned private-duty home care agency providing one-on-one care to clients in their homes. We are currently hiring experienced Caregivers, HHAs, and CNAs to support clients throughout Sarasota and Charlotte County through our Venice office.

Available Opportunities

• 12-hour shifts
• Weekend shifts
• Day shifts
• Overnight shifts
• Ongoing client assignments based on availability and experience

Experience Strongly Preferred With:

• Transfers and ambulation assistance
• Gait belt use
• Hoyer lift experience
• Bedbound care
• Dementia care, including clients who may be confused, agitated, or resistant to care
• Personal care and activities of daily living
• Higher-acuity care needs

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one care in the client’s home setting
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transfers, mobility, meals, and companionship
• Follow the client care plan and safety instructions
• Observe and report changes in condition, behavior, or care needs
• Complete timely and accurate documentation

Qualifications

• Previous caregiving experience required
• HHA certificate, CNA license, or strong hands-on caregiving experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation required
• Current hands-on CPR certification, or willingness to obtain
• TB test within the last 6 months or chest X-ray within the last 5 years
• Eligibility for Level 2 AHCA background screening https://info.flclearinghouse.com
• Reliable, patient, professional, and able to communicate clearly
