Job DetailsJob Location: Venice, FL 34285Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: 1st ShiftJob Category: DOT - Safety Sensitive PositionSUMMARY: A Sheet Metal Technician I performs repair, fabrication, and modification of aircraft components in accordance with approved technical data. This role supports maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) operations by restoring components to serviceable condition while meeting customer and regulatory requirements. The technician works with a variety of tools, materials, and processes to complete structural repairs. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Perform sheet metal repairs, including cutting, forming, drilling, riveting, and fastening. Set up and operate fabricating machines; and use various other power tools on a regular basis. Fabricate parts and assemblies using blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications. Interpret and follow OEM manuals, repair station procedures, and work instructions. Remove and install fasteners such as rivets, bolts, and specialty hardware. Blend, smooth, and finish repaired areas to required tolerances and surface specifications. Use precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and ensure work meets specifications. Complete required documentation accurately, including work orders and production records. Collaborate with quality, engineering, and other production teams as needed. Follow all safety procedures and maintain compliance with company and regulatory requirements. Other duties as assigned. QualificationsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: High school or equivalent. 2 years of relevant sheet metal or structural repair experience. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and manuals. Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand and power tools. Basic knowledge of sheet metal tools, equipment, and repair techniques. Familiarity with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.). Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in a regulated environment. Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship. PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: Experience in an aerospace MRO or FAA Part 145 repair station. Familiarity with aircraft structural repair manuals (SRMs). Experience working with aluminum, stainless steel, and other aerospace materials. Prior training or certification in sheet metal or aircraft structures. Ability to perform more complex repairs with minimal supervision. OTHER: The selected applicant will be subject to a background check and DOT drug testing. #INDVSE
