BASIC FUNCTION AND SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Mix chemicals according to Farm Manager/ Supervisor Instructions.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Weigh and/or measure pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers according to specifications
Compound or process ingredients according to formulas.
Read prescriptions to determine production output and/or other information.
Observe production and/or monitor equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Use proper PPE and follow safety standards and regulations written in the Employee Safety Handbook.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Keep mixing equipment clean and ensure proper signage is legible.
Dispose of chemical waste in proper disposal area/containers.
This position is a safety-sensitive position. Be able to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma preferred.

TRAINING, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

At least 1 year experience as a Mixing Technician

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Some travel required – valid Florida driver’s license necessary.

Participate in the Cutrale Safety and Environmental programs

EQUIPMENT

Tractor, bush hogs. Herbicide/pesticide sprayer, small gas operated pumps.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job employees are regularly required to: sit, walk, stand; talk or hear (both in person and by telephone); use hands repetitively to handle standard mixing equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 50 pounds.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Working conditions will be outside, in all types of weather. Must be able to work in the heat wearing proper P.P.E (Personal Protective Equipment) during pesticide and herbicide applications. If necessary, could be expected to work in wet, muddy, rainy conditions.
