Simmonds Precision is seeking a motivated Electrical Engineering Intern to join our Motion Controls business engineering team for the summer of 2026. The ideal candidate will be passionate about hands-on electrical engineering and eager to participate in all phases of the product development lifecycle.

 

What You Will Do

  • Work on complex technical problems while participating in collaborative, cross-disciplined integrated product teams
  • Work will be performed under the guidance of electrical engineering team members who will assist in defining tasks and provide mentorship throughout assigned activities.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and the student must be pursuing a bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
  • S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred
  • Previous hands-on experience through internships, academic projects, or laboratory work in electrical engineering is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills, including ability to produce technical documentation, and the desire to learn new technologies and tools. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
