Job DetailsJob Location: Vernon - Vernon, AL 35592Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: First Shift - 7AM-3PMAbility to plan, work independently, execute, and follow up on needed mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic repairs, PLC and troubleshooting abilities necessary along with 480Volt , 3 phase electrical, able to read schematic, and running conduit, Oiling, greasing and general preventative maintenance responsibilities. Diagnose and repair diesel engines (medium and heavy-duty trucks, equipment, etc.) Perform maintenance and repairs on forklifts (propane, diesel, and electric) troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems Perform routine preventative maintenance on all equipment Maintain and repair plant machinery and production equipment (as needed, not daily) Handle general facility maintenance (lighting, electrical, air systems, etc.) (as needed) Respond to breakdowns quickly to minimize downtime Keep accurate records of repairs, parts, and maintenance schedules Follow all safety procedures and company policies General facilities duties such as shoveling snow, changing light bulbs, etc. Other duties as assigned. QualificationsQualifications: Two-year certificate from college or technical school; one to three years general manufacturing maintenance experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of five (5) years experience in related field, including high school diploma or work equivalent. Strong electrical and mechanical experience along with pneumatic and hydraulic hands on experience. Demonstrated ability in utilizing math skills daily. Ability to work unsupervised, self-starter, team environment and able to handle deadline pressure. Must provide own basic hand tools. Must possess a valid driver’s license for insurance purposes. Strong experience in diesel engine diagnostics and repair Experience working on forklifts (a big plus) Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical troubleshooting Ability to read wiring diagrams and service manuals Experience with plant/industrial maintenance preferred Own tools required (shop tools provided as needed) Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Valid driver’s license & CDL License a plus
