The primary role of the Maintenance Manager is to manage the diagnoses and repair of all fleet and equipment.- this is an evening shift position working 4pm - 2am

Essential Responsibilities 

 

  1. Manage the preventative maintenance and repair of all fleet and equipment.
  1. Maintain a complete inventory system through the recording of all expenditures for each piece of maintenance equipment, repair, parts, supplies, labor hours and labor cost. 
  1. Implement and maintain a mechanic training and certification program to provide needed technical skills and best safety practices for processing equipment maintenance mechanics. 
  1. Oversee preventive maintenance procedures to ensure that work is completed correctly and in a timely manner. 
  1. Assist the Director of Fleet Maintenance with needed purchases, including parts, tools and facility supplies. 
  1. Check all repair work performed for quality and completeness.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities 

Knowledge of:

  • Diesel and/or compressed natural gas engines, heavy equipment mechanical components and parts.
  • Methods, tools, equipment and systems used in the inspection, diagnosis and repair of trucks and heavy equipment.
  • Vehicle computer diagnostic systems and fleet management software.
  • Federal, state and local job site health and safety rules, regulations and best practices.

Ability to:

  • Plan and organize the work of skilled, semi-skilled, and unskilled employees engaged in repair and

maintenance of vehicles and equipment. 

  • Prepare reports and maintain accurate records. 
  • Maintain a positive attitude with coworkers.
  • Proactively establish trust and credibility with coworkers by maintaining accountability.
  • Contribute to the team dynamic by promoting inclusion, support and collaboration amongst coworkers.
  • Take initiative, self-manage time and productivity through multitasking.
  • Effectively and concisely, communicate both orally and in writing.
  • Think independently and creatively to problem solve.

Education, Training & Experience 

  1. Five years of related experience servicing processing equipment required
  2. High school diploma or GED preferred.
  3. Experience in the resource recovery industry a plus.
  4. Certifications a plus.
  5. Class B license a plus.
  6. Must supply own tools.
