Job Description

The Deputy Chief Theoretical Knowledge Instructor (DCTKI) plays a pivotal leadership role within Skyborne’s Ground School, supporting the CTKI in ensuring the delivery of exceptional theoretical knowledge training. This role deputises for the CTKI in their absence and contributes to the day-to-day operational management of the Ground School. 

The DCTKI continues to instruct, bringing subject expertise and innovation, professionalism, and a passion for trainee development to every learning environment. The DCTKI shall lead by example with a strong focus on professional behaviour and attitude alongside strong theoretical and practical knowledge of their subjects.This position directly supports Skyborne’s commitment to training excellence, safety, and customer satisfaction, playing a key role in shaping the next generation of airline pilots. 

Qualifications

  • Managerial experience, preferably within an ATO environment
  • Extensive ATPL Theoretical Knowledge Instruction Delivery.
  • Extensive knowledge of the UK CAA regulations, and ability to interpret EASA and/or other Authority regulations as required
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, to motivate and nurture Trainees, to deal effectively with internal and external contacts ranging from executive to administrative levels.
  • Ability to maintain strong customer orientation under adverse circumstances.
