Basic Function: Responsible for assisting in all mechanical areas of club facilities maintenance in order to keep the club functioning at top efficiency.
Essential duties and responsibilities: The following job duties are essential to the successful and satisfactory performance of this job. Other duties may be assigned.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Maintains and makes general repairs to building maintenance and upkeep, including but not limited to plumbing, light fixtures, furniture, woodwork, appliances, alarms, elevators, heating and ventilation systems, draining, pumping, and building structures.
• Maintains the clubhouse grounds, parking lots, swimming pool and other recreational areas.
• Pressure clean the club and surrounding areas.
• Assists in keeping the workshop area safe, clean, neat, organized and well-lit.
• Ensures that all refuse is properly removed from the clubhouse and its premises.
• Replenishes supplies such as ice, paper good and equipment when necessary.
• Assists with the preparation of special functions, parties, tournaments, etc. including installing decoration, constructing display pieces, setting up chairs and tables.
• Clean and maintain the boat docking area.
• Under direction of the Director of Maintenance Facilities, assist Members with requests as they apply to Facilities.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Maintain The Moorings Yacht & Country Club commitment to member satisfaction while performing job duties.
• Exhibit and practice professional and courteous behavior while interacting with Members, their guests or other employees.
• Comply with all rules, regulations and policies as stated in the Employee Handbook and/or established by the Board of Governors.
• Adhere to the Club’s Code of Ethics and Conduct.
• Must be cognizant of the rules and regulations of the facility for the safety and welfare of the staff and members.
• Must be able to work well under pressure and meet all deadlines.
• Adhere to all stated policies and procedures.
• Adhere to appearance standards consistently.
Requirements
Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Skills:
• Strong communication and cooperative skills.
• Positive interpersonal, customer service skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
Knowledge and Certificates: HVAC, plumbing certifications preferred but not required.
Experience: Prior experience preferred but not required.
Physical Demands of Work Environment: The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met and/or encountered by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
• Requires indoor and outdoor work.
• Schedule and times are usually set but may vary occasionally. Work week is Monday through Sunday.
• While performing duties of the job, employee is  are required to stand, stoop, bend, and reach overhead.
• Regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Employee is are required to regularly kneel or crouch, bend, reach overhead and walk.
• Must be able to pull and lift up to twenty five (25) pounds regularly and occasionally up to forty (40) pounds.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
Machines/Equipment/Tools used:
• Uniform required (Club provided).
• Gas blower.
• Cordless drill.
• Pressure cleaner.
• Other tools as provided.
