About the Role:
Coastal Sanitation of NC LLC is looking for a dependable and hardworking Refuse Collector to join our team in Hubert, NC! This is a great opportunity to work outdoors, stay active, and play a vital role in keeping our community clean and healthy. Responsibilities:
- Collect and dispose of residential and/or commercial refuse along assigned routes
- Operate and ride on refuse collection vehicles safely and efficiently
- Lift, empty, and return waste bins and containers to their proper locations
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures during collection operations
- Maintain cleanliness and order around collection areas to minimize spillage
- Communicate with drivers and team members to ensure route completion
- Report any vehicle issues, hazardous materials, or route concerns to supervisors
Requirements:
- Ability to perform physically demanding work including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work early morning hours and varying schedules
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and a team-oriented attitude
- Prior waste collection or labor experience is a plus but not required
- Valid driver's license preferred
- Must be able to pass a background check and/or pre-employment screening
- Must be 18 years old or older
