The Yard Technician is responsible for the efficient and effective check-in, management, and maintenance of equipment. This includes handling attachments, loading and unloading equipment, washing equipment, and performing basic functionality and fluid checks to maintain operational standards and ensure customer satisfaction. Â

Requirements
- Inspect and document the condition of returned rental equipmentÂ
- Record any damages, missing parts, or other discrepanciesÂ
- Ensure all equipment is checked in promptly and accuratelyÂ
- Safely load and unload equipment from delivery trucks and trailersÂ
- Ensure proper securing of equipment during transportÂ
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and damageÂ
- Clean and wash equipment to maintain a professional appearance and operational efficiencyÂ
- Use appropriate professional grade cleaning tools and solutions to remove dirt, grease, and debrisÂ
- Perform routine checks on equipment to ensure proper functionalityÂ
- Check and top off fluids, including oil, fuel, hydraulic fluids, and coolantÂ
- Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs to the Service ManagerÂ
- Keep the rental yard organized and free of hazardsÂ
- Assist with inventory management and equipment placementÂ
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment which includes sweeping, mopping, empty trash, etc.Â
- Complete routine building maintenance as required at the wash bay and shop when neededÂ
- Assist technicians in the shop when needed or during down periodsÂ
- Meet with truck drivers as they arrive to finalize pick-ups and deliveries, have dray signed (if applicable)Â
 Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalentÂ
- Ability to use iPad and phone apps for company systemsÂ
- Basic mechanical skills and knowledge of heavy equipment operationÂ
- Ability to learn and operate heavy equipment such as loaders and excavatorsÂ
- Ability to perform physical labor, including proper lifting of heavy objectsÂ
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skillsÂ
- Support all levels of the branch with excellent communication and teamwork abilitiesÂ
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportationÂ
- Previous experience in a similar role or heavy equipment is preferred but not requiredÂ
Work Details
Paid Weekly
Work hours: 7am-5pm, Monday thru Friday
Paid OT for hours over 40
