MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

2nd Shift | Full Time | Employee Owned-Manufacturing Company

We're seeking a Maintenance Technician to play a key role in carrying out a wide range of maintenance tasks, in and around our facility. The Maintenance Technician will install and inspect equipment, as well as perform preventative maintenance and repairs to our manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for keeping the facility operating by repairing any problems when they are discovered before they have a chance to worsen, including repairs to plumbing, heating, wiring and building maintenance.

What You'll Do

  • Ensure proper operating of machinery with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems by completing preventative maintenance requirements, following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications.
  • Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
  • Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical, or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
  • Install, repair, or change machine parts and attachments, according to production specifications.
  • Set up and operate machine tools to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures, or tools.
  • Transport machine parts, tools, equipment, and other material between work areas and storage, using cranes, hoists, or dollies.
  • Assist in installation of new production equipment.
  • Maintain repair or maintenance records.
  • Observe and support all safety rules and regulations and trains others to do the same.
  • Train other personnel on proper use of equipment as required.

What We're Looking For

  • Prior Maintenance experience required.
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Extensive understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanics.
  • Broad-spectrum of electrical and plumbing knowledge.
  • Knowledge of the practical applications of engineering science and technology.
  • Carpentry ability to perform basic repairs around the building.
  • Attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills required.
  • Physical stamina to handle a full shift of being active.
  • Familiarity with the use of computers for record keeping.
