JOB SUMMARY:

The Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for full-cycle recruitment which includes designing and executing efficient and effective recruitment strategies and working with hiring managers in the organization to fill positions efficiently with the highest quality talent. This position will work in partnership and lead the team to expand talent acquisition marketing campaigns and utilize proven recruitment techniques, while strategizing and implementing innovative methods to increase overall applicant flow and brand awareness.

 

ESSENTIAL/PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Establishes a creative talent acquisition strategy to proactively build a pipeline of high quality talent.
  • Serves as a talent advisor and consults leaders on effective strategies to achieve talent needs. Educates and trains on recruiting best practices, processes and hiring laws.
  • Uses data to develop the most effective talent acquisition metrics. Tracks metrics for strategic analysis of sourcing strategies and recruiting campaigns.
  • Solicits feedback and manages the candidate experience. Communicates and coaches HR Business Partners and hiring managers on areas of strength and improvement.
  • Develops strong relationships and meets regularly with HR Leadership and hiring managers to understand business needs to develop and recommend effective and strategic recruiting strategies.
  • Partners with HR & Corporate Communications teams on talent acquisition data management, job requisitions/postings, job offers, social media initiatives, advertising, and best practices.
  • Creates innovative process improvements to ensure our recruitment process is efficient, effective, and proactively meets the needs of the business.
  • Manages the recruitment lifecycle for mid to senior-level positions as needed, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and securing top talent.
  • Identifies and manages external relationships including strategic search firm relationships, agencies, universities, agencies and like organizations.
  • Stays abreast of external marketplace/industry trends and implements/shares learnings.
  • Proactively researches and evaluates new sourcing and research ideas or methods to create innovative sourcing strategies which meet the company's needs and standards.
  • May be involved in other recruitment-based programs, including diversity initiatives, student outreach efforts, college recruiting, immigration, manager training opportunities, etc.

SECONDARY DUTIES:

  • Completes project work within the Human Resources department.
  • Attends recruiting events including job fairs and college recruiting.
  • Additional duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree preferred in human resources, business administration or related field. 3-5 years of experience in talent acquisition leadership, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience recruiting in medical device and/or high-tech fields preferred.

COMPETENCY and/or SKILL:

  • Demonstrated leadership and coaching skills
  • Ability to collaborate with internal departments and develop hiring strategies and profiles
  • Experience with HRIS, ATS, sourcing and recruitment marketing tools
  • Exceptional ability to screen candidates, compile shortlists and interview candidates
  • Demonstrated ability to create awareness of the company brand and establish professional relationships 
  • Demonstrates knowledge of and compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including EEO, affirmative action, and fair hiring practices.
  • Proficiency in documenting processes and keeping up with industry trends
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • May be assigned direct reports
