Trinity Rail is hiring an Entry Technician, Mobile Repair, at our Vidor, TX site.

What you'll do:

· Conducts railcar inspections to ensure cars are in compliance.

· Performs repairs as necessary while always using current repair procedures.

· Meets the expectations and requirements of all customers to ensure we deliver exceptional customer experience.

· Ensures all necessary invoicing, inspection, and work order information is accurate and complete.

· Has the ability to pass any required NDT disciplines and function specific certifications, which may include tank car welding, and demonstrates strong familiarity with AAR rules and regulations.

· Actively participates in safety assessments, equipment inspections.

· Able to perform confined space monitoring and create hot work permits.

· Follows all safety rules and practices.

· May be involved in safety committees or initiatives.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

· Ability to learn basic railcar knowledge.

· Ability to prepare cars for Touch up or for other surface prep work, including masking of areas needed.

· Ability to do Mechanical/Assembly Repairs to railcars.

· Ability to use basic hand and power tools.

· Ability to learn basic knowledge of how to read Engineering drawings.

· Ability to pass DOT Requirements is a plus.

· Understand and perform all work outlined under Supervision.

· Any type of general labor, construction or manufacturing experience Railcar Experience is a plus.

· Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
