- Cleans and sanitizes the dining room, kitchen, storage area and dietary equipment as needed.Â
- Prepares and cooks food in accordance with state food and nutrition guidelines.
- Monitors food temperatures prior to meal service.
- Records temperatures of food according to established policy and procedure
- Ensures that an adequate supply of food, supplies, etc. is available at all times. Reports inadequate stock levels to the Dietary Coordinator in a timely manner.
- Follows recipes for planned weekly menu.
- Ensures proper quantities of food are prepared.
- Ensures that food is prepared in accordance with established time schedules.
- Labels, dates and stores food properly according to established policies.
- Listens to and employs good judgment when responding to residents. Responds in a timely manner to residents and provides follow up, keeping supervisor informed.
- Picks up and disposes of dining room and kitchen trash.
- Treats residents, families, co-workers, public, state officials and consultants with respect, courtesy and tact.
- Reports all health and safety concerns to Dining Services Manager of facility Director.
- Ability to screen, assess and provide interventions for consumers that are exhibiting symptoms of trauma.
- Follows agency policy and procedure for all reports of abuse and neglect or suspected abuse and neglect.
