Key Responsibilities
- Take part in training and development programs to keep abreast of company and market information.Â
- Introduce, demonstrate, promote and sell existing and new products/services in the showroom.Â
- Help maintain, update and design showroom displays, exhibitors and merchandising programs.Â
- Work to meet or exceed sales objectives in terms of volume and margin.Â
- Participate in the preparation of sales budgets for the showroom as assigned.Â
- Quote prices, prepare proposals and provide information regarding terms of sale and deliveryÂ
- Coach junior showroom sales personnel and impart training as necessary.Â
- Schedule and visit customers to support, close or service showroom sales.Â
- Gather data on product/service tastes and trends exhibited by buyers in the showroom as required. Â
- Receive and process cash instruments in settlement of showroom sales.Â
- Enter customers, sales orders and other information necessary to complete sales transactions.Â
- Prepare expense reports as necessary.Â
- Handle showroom incoming calls.Â
- Document and process customer service complaints, liaising with department and product managers as necessaryÂ
- Prepare sales and other reports and analysis as necessary.Â
- Monitor and analyze customer sales and margins.Â
- Manage overflow from other showroom personnel.Â
- Attend trade shows and maintain/update customer databases as needed.Â
- Assist customers in determining product/service needs/applications and provide assistance in design and inquiries.Â
- Manage product returns, deliveries and pick-ups with regards to sales concluded through the showroom.Â
- Handle showroom customer complaints and problems.Â
- Conduct proactive customer service and follow up on orders.Â
- Organize and carry out mailings and monitor showroom advertising campaigns for effectiveness.Â
- Prepare or cause to be prepared designs, drawings and other deliverables for customers.Â
- Other duties as assigned.
What You Bring to the Team
- 3-4 years of experience in interior design consulting or retail sales role  Â
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with proven ability to close sales.Â
- Strong organizational and time management skills.Â
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Â
- Detail-oriented and able to multitask.Â
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

- Visual acuity to review design plans, color swatches, and detailed product information.
