Position Summary:

The Senior Interior Designer at Lessard Design is responsible for leading interior design efforts across projects, ensuring design excellence, technical precision, and alignment with project performance goals. This role integrates design leadership with business awareness, contributing to both project success and firm growth.

Core Responsibilities:

Design Leadership:

Lead interior design from concept through construction administration (SD, DD, CD, CA). Develop design direction, finish palettes, and FF&E; strategies aligned with client goals.

Technical Execution:

Oversee and produce Revit-based documentation, ensuring accuracy, coordination, and adherence to Lessard Design standards.

Project Leadership:

Manage project teams, delegate tasks effectively, mentor junior staff, and serve as a primary client contact.

Financial & Performance Management:

Understand and manage project fees, track hours against budgets, and adjust workflows to

maintain project profitability. Participate in scope development and proposal efforts.

Construction Administration & FF&E:

Oversee submittals, RFIs, site visits, and FF&E; procurement to ensure design intent is executed successfully.

Business Development:

Support and contribute to new business efforts, including client relationship building, proposal input, and participation in interviews. Identify and help generate new project opportunities.

Performance Metrics:

• Billable Utilization Target: 70–80%

• Project Profitability: Maintain projects within budgeted hours and fees

• Schedule Adherence: Meet project milestones and deadlines

• Team Leadership: Effective delegation and team development

Lead interior design from concept through construction administration (SD, DD, CD, CA).

Develop and manage design direction, design programming, finish palettes, and FF&E;

strategies aligned with client goals.

Extensive knowledge of CDs, codes and ADA requirements.

Oversee project schedules, budgets, and delivery timelines to ensure high quality results.

Experience with building amenities projects preferred, typical range of 10,000sf – 20,000sf.

Qualifications:

6–10+ years of experience in interior design or architecture. Degree in Interior Design or

Architecture required. Strong proficiency in Revit, Adobe Suite, and visualization tools. Extensive presentation and graphic communication with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Demonstrated leadership and project delivery experience.

Compensation Range:

Commensurate with experience
