  • hardware.
  • Perform basic copper testing and assist with certification and fiber testing as trained.
  • Follow drawings, cable schedules, labeling plans, and instructions from the lead installer.
  • Keep cable routing neat and follow company standards for support, separation, bend radius, and

  • Update labels, test records, material notes, and as-built markups.
  • Use tools, ladders, lifts, and test equipment safely and correctly.
  • Keep the work area clean, protect the customer's property, and help manage tools and materials.
  • Communicate progress, material needs, and job-site issues to the lead installer or project manager.
  • Represent Modern Media with a professional, helpful attitude on every job site.

What We Are Looking For
  • About 1-3 years of structured cabling, low-voltage, telecommunications, or similar field experience.
  • Hands-on experience pulling, dressing, labeling, and terminating copper cabling.
  • Basic knowledge of Cat6/Cat6A, patch panels, keystone jacks, racks, J-hooks, and cable tray.
  • Ability to read basic floor plans, cable schedules, labels, and written instructions.
  • A safety-first mindset, attention to detail, and pride in clean workmanship.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a crew.
  • Comfort using a mobile device and apps such as Teams or Outlook for field communication.
  • A valid Florida driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass background checks required for government and other controlled-access sites.
  • Flexibility for occasional early starts, overtime, evenings, or weekend work when projects require it.

Nice to Have
  • BICSI Installer 1 or progress toward a BICSI credential.
  • Experience with Cat6A, fiber optic cabling, Fluke testing equipment, or commercial telecom rooms.
  • OSHA 10, lift certification, or other current safety training.
  • Experience on commercial, healthcare, education, government, or DoD projects.

  • Climb ladders, use lifts, work above ceilings, bend, kneel, crouch, and stand for extended periods.
  • Work in active construction environments that may include dust, noise, heat, and unfinished spaces.
  • Travel to project sites throughout Brevard County and the greater Orlando area.
