Overview

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring a full-time Vehicle Cleaner and Fueler to join our team at the Kennedy Space Center in Merritt Island, Florida. As a Vehicle Cleaner and Fueler, you will be responsible for ensuring the entire fleet of vehicles is fueled and cleaned on a scheduled basis as directed. Unit Description

The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is the visitor center at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. We offer our team members discounted meals, wellness rewards programs, and a 4-week on-the-job training program. Friends and family perks include up to 12 complimentary tickets with 4 parking passes per year to share. Additionally, team members receive 5 visits per year with up to 3 guests for visits at discounted rates to other popular Florida attractions.


Responsibilities

  • Remove trash, clean seats, sweep and mop floors, and clean other interior areas of the vehicles.
  • Wash and buff the outside windows of the vehicles.
  • Drive vehicles between cleaning and storage areas or to field locations when required.
  • Perform minor repairs and refurbishment to internal fixtures of the vehicles as directed.
  • Always maintain a safe and clean working area in line with company regulations and policies.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 months experience driving 35' to 45' vehicles.
  • Minimum of 3 months experience using automatic bus vehicle wash systems.
  • Possess a valid Florida Class A or B Commercial Driver's License with the 'P' Endorsement required.
  • This position requires authorization to work at Kennedy Space Center and completion of all site access requirements. 

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
  • Constant standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching, and repetitive motions.
  • Ability to remain standing for the entire length of shift.
  • Requires work outdoors in all weather conditions and on coaches with the presence of fumes, dust, and noise.
