Job description
We are seeking a Front Desk Receptionist with prior medical office experience to join our interdisciplinary pain management practice. This role is essential in providing a professional, organized, and compassionate first point of contact for our patients.


Responsibilities
  • Greet and register patients upon arrival and collect copays and patient balances.
  • Schedule appointments, answer phones, and manage patient correspondence.
  • Enter patient information into the EMR and transmit required information to billing staff.
  • Scan, upload, fax, and copy patient documents and medical records.
  • Maintain and organize patient medical records within the electronic health record system.
  • Obtain and send medical records to providers and insurance companies.
  • Communicate calmly and respectfully with patients and families during times of stress or concern.
  • Respond to phone calls and messages in a timely and professional manner.
  • Proactively manage clinic schedules by filling cancellations and prioritizing appointments.
  • Work independently while maintaining strong organizational standards.


Qualifications
  • Experience in medical reception, patient registration, scheduling, and eligibility verification.
  • Experience working with medical insurance companies required.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Computer proficiency and EMR experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
