From Pain to Wellness, LLC is a physician-led, multi-disciplinary medical practice dedicated to caring for patients with chronic pain.

Our non-interventional model integrates medication management, physical therapy, and behavioral health to help patients improve function and quality of life through a coordinated, team-based approach.

Role Summary

The Medical Assistant provides both clinical and administrative support to physicians and advanced practice providers while helping deliver an exceptional patient experience. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with patients, thrives in a team environment, and takes pride in providing organized, compassionate care.

Responsibilities

Clinical

  • Assist physicians and advanced practice providers with patient care.
  • Room patients and obtain vital signs.
  • Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection.
  • Assist with laboratory testing and clinical procedures.
  • Prepare examination rooms and maintain clinical equipment.
  • Review patient histories and medical records.
  • Document patient information accurately.
  • Communicate laboratory and diagnostic results as directed.
  • Assist with preparing injectables under physician instruction.
  • Maintain high standards of patient care and safety.
Administrative

  • Answer patient phone calls.
  • Schedule appointments.
  • Check patients in and out.
  • Complete insurance prior authorizations.
  • Maintain supplement inventory.
  • Post charges and payments.
  • Provide reception coverage as needed.
  • Assist with additional administrative duties.
Performance Expectations

  • Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and compassion.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and families.
  • Work collaboratively with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and fellow team members.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA requirements.
  • Follow clinic policies, documentation standards, and safety protocols.
  • Participate in continuing education and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications

Required

  • Medical Assistant certificate or diploma from an accredited program.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Proficiency with computers and electronic medical records.
  • Commitment to delivering outstanding patient care.
Preferred

  • Previous experience in a physician office or specialty medical practice.
  • Experience with phlebotomy.
  • Experience obtaining insurance prior authorizations.
  • Experience working with patients who have chronic medical conditions.
  • Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) is a plus.
