We are hiring for a Janitor / Painter for a job site near Ville Platte, LA. Janitors are expected to maintain the premise and occasionally assit skilled workers in performing their assigned duties. The Painter position performs surface preparation per specification to achieve proper adhesion on asset and applies protective coating on asset to achieve corrosion prevention, identification, hazard recognition, product purity, etc. Non-exempt role; Reports to the Foreman; Assigned duties according to specific procedures / work is checked frequently.

Essential Qualifications:

• High school or equivalent
• General knowledge of cleaning
• Preferred experience with industrial coatings operations and best practices
• Must be able to successfully pass site course / exam
• Post offer drug / alcohol screen, physical evaluation, and signed acceptance of the Turner Industries Drug, Alcohol and Contraband Policy
• Comply with company and client job site safety requirements
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace

Functional Requirements:

Maintains premises; ensures rest and working areas of offices, industrial buildings and outer grounds are in clean and orderly condition; performs a combination of dusting furniture, walls, fixtures, and equipment; sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, waxing, and buffering floors; polishing furniture, fixtures, and trimmings; using janitorial supplies; cleaning lavatories, showers, and rest rooms; performs a variety of non-mechanical tasks; spends time on the job or may be transferred from task to task as needed; perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.

Performs surface preparation per specification to provide proper adhesion of material; utilizes various methods for surface preparation, including but not limited to solvent, hand tools, power tools, pressurized water jet, abrasive blast cleaning, etc.; applies protective coatings to customer assets for corrosion prevention, identification, hazard recognition, product purity, etc.; utilizes various methods including brush/roll, conventional spray, single/plural component airless spray, hand trowel, thermal spray aluminum, etc.;

Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.

Physical Involvement:
