Essential Job Duties:

  1. Places all orders for designated GSH departments, assures purchase orders are entered accurately into the Oracle system, and follows up on the status of outstanding purchase orders.
  2. Communicates status of purchase orders, delivery delays and backorders to designated departments.  Keeps CQVA Facilitator apprised of any new items being ordered by departments.
  3. Assists all GSH departments with any questions or concerns regarding the supply chain process.
  4. Works with Vendors, Accounting and Receiving to resolve unique and/or difficult purchase orders.  Works with vendors to insure GSH is receiving the lowest pricing possible, and shops on-line for discount codes for more favorable pricing.
  5. Coordinates with Contract Manager to insure most favorable pricing, proper delivery, and accurate billing.
  6. Maintains the Lawson system for accuracy, coordinates with the vendor for returns and credits, and maintains accurate files for PA-10 requests.
  7. Evaluates the supply chain process from an ownership standpoint and makes recommendations for improvement to the Department Director.
  8. Communicates openly with co-workers to assure that all departmental needs are met, especially if buyer is out of the office, or there are special needs for certain departments.
  9. Inputs contract service agreements into the Contract Management System and manages those contracts.
  10. Completes other duties and special projects as assigned.
     

Secondary Job Duties That May be Reassigned:

  1. Attaches images to pre-built Oracle numbers.
  2. Assists Receiving staff as needed.
