Essential Job Duties:

  1. Fills medication orders for in-patients and out-patients.
  2. Restocks medication locations outside the Pharmacy (automated and non-automated)
  3. Prepares sterile products for infusion including parenteral nutrition and anti-neoplastic medications.
  4. Repackages bulk medications into unit dose containers/packages.
  5. Conducts inspections of departments that store medication.
  6. Manages Pharmacy inventory through inventory tracking and compiling orders to wholesalers and suppliers.
  7. Assists Pharmacists in a variety of ways including telephone answering, delivery of medications and maintenance of paper and electronic records.

Secondary Job Duties That May be Reassigned:

  1. Sends replenishment orders to wholesaler and other suppliers. Receives orders from wholesaler/suppliers, verifies quantities received, restocks product to the appropriate storage area and completes associated paperwork.
  2. Evaluates inventory for appropriate stock levels and removal of expired items.
  3. Performs cleaning of equipment and sterile room as required by regulation or maintenance schedules.
  4. Performs and completes other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
