JOB SUMMARY:
Supervises, coordinates and works with employees in Communications. Ensure all Switchboard employees are working efficiently and effectively. Responsible for all functions related to personnel accuracy, efficiency, and performance, which supports department goals and strategic plan.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Maintains call logs & provides them to Risk Management for scanning.
- Ensure all documentation is accurate and entered in the computer.
- Maintains all Emergency Documentation.
- Compiles all data for documentation to be distributed to the appropriate personnel.
- Ensure all documentation is maintained for 3 months.
- Instructs and trains employees in the use of all equipment (Security & Engineering radios, Amico System, Simplex System, and HUGS), phone etiquette, and technique.
- Generates a monthly schedule. Plans and organizes the workflow of switchboard personnel. Ensure full coverage for unexpected absences.
- Contributes to a high-performance work environment by attending meeting and training sessions as scheduled.
SECONDARY JOB DUTIES
- Operate all communications equipment affiliated with the hospital. Communicates well with the public, patients, families, physicians, etc.
- Must be able to immediately implement all Emergency plans to provide a safe environment.
- Work closely with all hospital departments.
- Works to maintain a safe work environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
- Place order for office supplies.
- Act as an information clerk in absence of Volunteers.
- Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
