Position: Maintenance Mechanic
Location: 2260 Industrial Way, Vineland, NJ
Starting Pay: $31.07 per hour
Schedule: 12-hour shifts (day or night shift to be determined)

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in Vineland, NJ. This is a union position offering union benefits and competitive compensation. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this role is responsible for supporting production operations by troubleshooting equipment issues, performing preventative maintenance, and completing fabrication and installation projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities, experience working in an industrial manufacturing setting, and a commitment to safety, quality, and food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues by evaluating equipment conditions, diagnosing problems, and performing necessary repairs
- Perform preventative maintenance and accurately document all completed work
- Install, maintain, and repair mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on production equipment and facility infrastructure
- Fabricate parts, structures, and equipment using maintenance shop tools
- Assist with installation and setup of new production equipment
- Support the development and improvement of computerized preventative maintenance programs
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with quality and food safety standards
- Notify Quality Assurance of any deviations or concerns
- Follow all company safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures
Qualifications
Technical & Professional Skills
- Strong electrical troubleshooting expertise
- Understanding of GMPs and food manufacturing standards
- Knowledge of HACCP, FDA, EPA, OSHA, and other applicable federal and state regulations
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities
- Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office

- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively communicate concepts and ideas
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
- Good decision-making skills and initiative
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must be able to understand, speak, and write English
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a mechanic in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Prior food industry experience preferred
Working Conditions
- 40+ hours per week
- Shift schedules may include 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift coverage
- Weekday and weekend availability may be required
- Work schedules may vary between 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts
