Apprentice Welder NJ

Fritz Staffing Group is currently hiring for Apprentice Welders that can manage a tool room! A drug test and OSHA 10 is required to get on site. 

Job Description:

You will be working with some of our clients top welders and pipefitters at a job in Vineland, NJ called Tyson Foods. You will be in charge of our "tool room" which includes making sure all tools are accounted for at all times, ensuring material is stocked and making sure someone knows when to order more material. When things are slow in the tool room, you will be helping out welders/pipefitters perform there day to day duties. Some duties are, but are not limited too the following:

• Tools
  • Tool check out/in (make sure everything is returned by EOD)
  • Assign manpower hardhat number stickers for tool check out process
• Material
  • Monitor levels (tracked through Monday.com)
  • Keep tabs on our VMI (vendor managed inventory) if we have it
  • Receive deliveries/retain pack slips
  • Set up/maintain laydown area, keeping it organized for us and the customer
  • Deliver material to scope areas
  • Help with any housekeeping needs
• Equipment
  • Track lifts and rental equipment (Monday.com)
  • Report lift issues (be sunbelts site contact for drop offs, pick-ups, and the tech)

Qualifications

• Ability to pass drug tests
• OSHA 10 or 30
• Organized/ detail-oriented
• Comfortable with technology
• Has the initiative to learn/ always looking for the next task at hand. Someone who can think and be autonomous.
• Has a positive attitude
• Hand tools
• Ability to operate a lift/forktruck
