Our office is looking for a highly energetic and dynamic individual to join our team as an Auditor I/II. Applicants should be self-motivated and effective communicators. The chosen candidate will perform financial, attestation, and performance audits of City programs, activities, and functions in accordance with Government Auditing Standards and provide technical and advisory assistance.

Duties:

Under the direction and supervision of the City Auditor or higher level staff, survey functions and activities in assigned areas to gain an understanding of the nature of operations and the adequacy of the system of control; plan the scope of the engagement; determine the audit procedures to be used and identify the key control points to facilitate the audit process; and perform the engagement in a professional manner in accordance with the approved audit program.

•    Obtain, analyze, and appraise evidentiary data to provide an informed, objective opinion on the adequacy, effectiveness, and efficiency of the activities being reviewed.
•    Make or assist in making oral or written presentations to management and staff to discuss findings and recommend improvements.
•    Prepare formal written reports. 
•    Appraise the adequacy of the corrective action taken to improve conditions and ensure efficient operation of City programs, activities, and functions.
•    Assist with special requests, inquiries, and investigative projects.
•    Demonstrate the capacity to enhance technical skills and to execute progressively responsible assignments.
