About the Role:
Full Strut Disposal LLC is looking for a hardworking and reliable CDL Rear Load Trash Truck Driver / Collection Helper to join our team in Virginia Beach, VA. This float position offers variety and flexibility as you support multiple routes and crews, keeping our community clean one stop at a time. Responsibilities:
- Operate rear load refuse trucks safely and efficiently along assigned collection routes
- Serve as a float driver or collection helper, filling in across multiple routes and crews as needed
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in compliance with DOT regulations
- Collect and load residential or commercial waste into rear load trucks
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company procedures while on route
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding route progress or issues
- Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned vehicles and equipment
Requirements:
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class B) required
- Previous experience operating rear load or refuse trucks preferred
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, bending, and working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Clean driving record and ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Flexible and adaptable — comfortable working as a float across various routes and teams
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a team-first attitude
