Landscaping Technician and Crew Leaders

First Colonial Landscapes, Inc is hiring full time Landscaping Technician and Crew Leaders to start immediately. The workday begins promptly at 8:00 AM, M-F with required work every third Saturday. This is a full-time position with potential for overtime. Experience is preferred, but not required. MUST be a hard worker, willing to take direction and have RELIABLE transportation.

**Job Summary:** - First Colonial Landscapes is seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals to join our landscaping team. The Landscaping Technician and Crew Leader will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces, ensuring they remain healthy, attractive, and well-kept. The ideal candidates should have experience in landscaping maintenance, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work efficiently in outdoor environments. The Crew Leader will take on additional responsibilities, including leading a team, managing schedules, and ensuring high-quality service.

**Landscaping Technician Responsibilities:**

• Perform routine landscape maintenance, including mowing, edging, trimming, and weeding.
• Prune trees and shrubs to maintain proper shape and health.
• Apply mulch as needed.
• Install and maintain flower beds, sod, and ground cover.
• Operate landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and blowers.
• Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards.
• Assist with seasonal tasks such as leaf removal and snow/ice management.
• Follow company procedures and work efficiently within a team.

**Crew Leader Additional Responsibilities:**

• Supervise and coordinate daily tasks for the landscaping crew.
• Train and mentor team members in proper landscaping techniques and safety protocols.
• Ensure all maintenance schedules are followed and completed on time.
• Communicate with clients and management regarding job progress and any issues.
• Maintain and inspect tools and equipment for proper functioning.
• Assist with planning and logistics for landscaping projects.

**Qualifications:**

• Previous landscaping or grounds maintenance experience required (Crew Leader: 2+ years of leadership experience preferred).
• Knowledge of plant care, irrigation systems, and common landscaping techniques.
• Ability to operate and maintain landscaping equipment.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license preferred (Crew Leader: required).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks.
