Overview:

Sentara Medical Group is now hiring a full-time Patient Care Specialist in the Peninsula area of Virginia!

This is a float position supporting medical offices throughout the Peninsula, including Hampton, Newport News, Williamsburg, Yorktown, and Gloucester. Travel to other areas within Hampton Roads may be required based on staffing needs.

Hours

Monday - Friday, 7:00AM - 8:00PM. Staff will rotate shifts, and your assigned shift will fall within these hours.

Overview

As aĀ Patient Care SpecialistĀ with Sentara Healthcare, you will provide non-clinical support within a physician's office and ensure an excellent patient experience by performing a variety of complex administrative tasks to support patient care delivery. Primary duties include answering phones, scheduling appointments, and answering patient questions. Education

  • HS Diploma (Required)
  • Associate Level degree or higher in lieu of the required experience will be considered

Experience

  • 3 years Customer Service experience (Required)
  • 1 year experience with Health Insurance Plans, Medical Records Data, Medical Terminology, Registration, Scheduling, or Third Party Payers (Required)
