Overview:

Program Manager

The Program ManagerĀ is responsible forĀ overseeing and coordinating progress of multiple projects within a program, managing dependencies across projects/workstreams, and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.Ā Ā This role coordinates cross-functional teams, manages budgets and resources, mitigates risks,Ā mentorsĀ andĀ coachesĀ Project Managers within their program, and communicates regularly with stakeholders to ensure program success.Ā Ā This role requires strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage complex initiatives from conception to completion.Ā Ā This role also includes direct project management responsibilities as needed.Ā  The ideal candidate will have technical knowledge and experience with complex workflows.

Hybrid position--must be able to work on-site at Sentara Park, Virginia Beach, Virginia several days per week; including training periods

EducationĀ 

  • High School / GEDĀ (Required)Ā 

  • Bachelor’sĀ Degree (Preferred)Ā Ā

Certification/LicensureĀ 

  • One of the following certificationsĀ or equivalent, but must obtain within 1 year of hire:Ā Ā 

  • Project Management Institute Certified Associate Project Manager (CAPM)   

  • Project Management Institute Project Management Professional (PMP)   

  • Project Management Institute Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP)   

  • Project Management InstituteĀ Program Management Professional (PgMP)Ā 

  • Scrum,Ā SAFeĀ or equivalentĀ Ā

ExperienceĀ 

  • 6+Ā years of experience inĀ program orĀ projectĀ managementĀ with a provenĀ track recordĀ in managing large-scale, complex projectsĀ or programsĀ (Required). 8+ years of experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.Ā Ā 

Ā 

The ideal candidate will have:Ā 

  • Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple stakeholder relationships.Ā 

  • Healthcare experienceĀ 

  • Care delivery (ambulatory, hospital, post-acute), health plan, corporate/shared services,Ā and/or technical project managementĀ experienceĀ 

  • Will have technical knowledge and experience with complex workflows
