About The Position
Virginia Pediatrics Call-Only Assignment with No Admissions and Flexible Summer Coverage
Highlights
- No inpatient admissions required
- Call-only coverage - no in-house shifts
- Summer start with long-term or short-term options
- PALS required, but no additional ACLS/ATLS/BLS
- Open to IMLC Pediatricians
Practice Setting
- Inpatient pediatric department
- Low-volume unit with only 6 pediatric beds
- Beeper call only - no overnight in-hospital coverage
- Supported by 2 RNs on-site
Schedule
- 24-hour call shifts, 7am-7am
- Only 1-2 weekends per month needed - you choose
- Block scheduling and long-term availability possible
- Summer start - June dates still open
- No supervision or teaching required
Procedures and Cases
- Age range: birth through 18 years
- Must be comfortable with UVCs
- Assigned and unassigned patients during call
- No surgical privileges required
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 5 years) in Pediatrics
- Active Virginia license or IMLC LOQ
- Minimum 3 years of experience
- PALS certification required
Credentialing Requirements
- Estimated credentialing time: 60 days
- Temporary privileges available
Travel accommodations
