Overview:

Sentara Home Care is seeking to hire qualified individuals to join our team as Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN).

Position Statuses Available:

• Full Time/days
• Part Time/evenings
• Part Time/weekends

Position Locations: Virginia Beach, VA and Chesapeake, VA

Hourly Range: $22.30 - $37.00

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits.

Overview

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in a home health care setting is responsible for providing direct, one-on-one care to patients in their homes. This role involves monitoring patient health, administering treatments, managing medications, and offering essential support to patients with various medical needs. Collaboration with a team of healthcare professionals, including Registered Nurses (RNs) and physicians, is required to deliver high-quality, compassionate care that improves patient well-being.

Education

• Trade School Graduate (Required)

Certification/Licensure

• LPN License (Required) - Active in Virginia
• BLS (Required within 90 days)

Experience

• Serve as patient advocate in the prevention of illness or disease
• Provide care and treatment for patients and clinical support and teaching for patient and family members
• Customer service, testing, medication administration and the implementation of nursing interventions and care plans
• Support a holistic approach to patient care
• Home Care experience is highly preferred
