About The Position
A Geriatrics facility is seeking an Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner for locum tenens coverage.
The facility is located 50 min west of Richmond, Virginia.
This role is for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant available to work Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., for a one-week assignment. The position involves no on-call duties and focuses on geriatric patients, averaging 2022 patients per day (approximately three per hour), so comfort with a steady patient load is essential. Candidates must hold a valid VA license and DEA certification. While COVID or flu vaccination requirements are not specified, the EMR systems used are PointClickCare and Gerimed. The facility is supported by a team that includes an MD one day per week, a Director of Nursing, administrative staff, LPNs, and CNAs.
