Wellness Dr. - Holland , MI 49424Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $20.00 - $26.00 HourlyTravel Percentage: Instate multi-clinic travelJob Description   Summary/objective  The Initial Telephone Triage Specialist is responsible for answering incoming patient calls, assessing their medical concerns, and providing appropriate guidance based on established protocols. They gather patient information, evaluate symptoms, and determine the urgency of the situation, directing patients to the appropriate care or resources, whether it's scheduling an appointment, recommending self-care, or advising emergency care. The role requires excellent communication, active listening skills, and a strong understanding of medical terminology to ensure accurate triage and patient safety.  Essential functions  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.  Answer incoming phone calls  Answer all Physician Line calls, connecting the caller to on-call provider.  Must re-address result notes, phone calls, and refill requests following the clinical process.  Manage voicemails and faxes   Complete prior authorizations for medications.  Assist with rooming patients as needed.    Competencies  Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment  Excellent customer service and computer skills  Strong verbal and written communication skills  Friendly, personable demeanor  Detail oriented    Supervisory responsibilities: None  Work environment: [in office, remote, hybrid]  Physical demands  Must be able to occasionally lift and / or move up to or more than 25 pounds. Frequent sitting with occasional standing and walking. Utilization of hand and finger dexterity for computer work and the viewing of a computer screen for the majority of the day.  Travel required  In-state multi clinic travel may be required.  Required education and experience  High School Diploma and/or Technical School Certificate or Associate Degree in Medical Assisting or Associate Degree  Basic Life Support Certification  Highschool diploma or GED  At minimum 5 year's experience as a Medical Assistant     Qualifications
