About the Role:

Responsible for the day-to-day execution of the production plan. Through subordinate supervisors and managers ensures production objectives are met within safety, quality and cost standards and in compliance with all company policies, processes and procedures.

A Day in the Life | Responsibilities We Trust You With:

  • Utilize the understanding of the aseptic process and the critical control points that support it to maintain product integrity and safety
  • Oversee the performance of the shift supervisors and communicate company standards to staff
  • Effectively uses available resources to formulate action plans for process improvements, cost reduction, quality improvement, work simplification
  • Assist the Plant Scheduler to meet the customer’s needs and schedule personnel appropriately
  • Report any mechanical, scheduling, or personnel problems that may have significant effects on the operations of the plant
  • Establish high morale throughout the department by showing fairness, consistency, and an interest in employee problems
  • Communicate with the Accounting, HR, and Purchasing departments on the various needs of the Production Departments
  • Demonstrate excellent leadership through effective communication, coaching, and training and development
  • Provide input for annual budget and capital planning
  • Prepares and delivers clear presentations and presents a professional image to employees, groups, and customers
  • Implement, maintain, and support all company policies and procedures, including the union contracts, safety programs, and good housekeeping

What You Must Know | Education & Experience: 

  • 4 yr. degree or relevant work experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment, preferably consumer packaged goods
  • 3-5 yrs. of experience in a food processing environment
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience
  • Computer skills

  • Superior problem-solving skills for long term issue resolution
  • General knowledge of business systems: budgeting, invoicing, marketing and strategic planning
  • Ability to quickly pick up and maintain technical knowledge pertaining to the plant and processes 
  • Ability to combine information from multiple disciplines to identify problems and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Recognizes the need for improvements and effectively manages implementation of change
  • Utilizes strong interpersonal communication skills
