Job DetailsJob Location: Vonore, TN 37885Maintenance Technician - NIGHT SHIFT (will train on days)   JOB SUMMARY Genera is constructing a commercial scale facility in Vonore, Tennessee that will convert agricultural fibers into pulp for sale into the market and making molded fiber products such as disposable food containers and other paper products.  Performs efficient and effective maintenance activities, in a way that maximizes safe production of quality products, minimizes cost and protects the environment. These tasks are to be performed on a day to day basis following site goals. Level will be determined by skill and ability. Summary of Essential Job Functions: Sustains knowledge, skills and abilities required for equipment maintenance. Can rebuild large gear boxes, align pumps, and other rotary equipment rebuilds. Welding required other than code welding. Troubleshoot, fabricate, install, repair, calibrate, check and adjust equipment, controls, facilities parts and services to maintain the highest level of utilization. Works closely with Electrical and Instrument Technician and Operating Technicians on site and assists team mates in completing tasks outside the scope of typical responsibilities. Assist in maintaining parts inventory. Supports site safety and security and assists in planning work with operations, contractors, and other plant personnel. Works as part of the team, communicates well with personnel at all organizational levels in a professional manner, and maintains a respectful work environment. Understanding/troubleshooting of low voltage electrical systems 480V and down. Capable of unwiring and rewiring equipment for maintenance and perform basic instrument troubleshooting Minimum Requirements Knowledge of plant safety, environment and good maintenance practices Good understanding of equipment process control and plant operating aptitude High school education with above average math & communication skills   In order to be considered for this position candidates are required to submit an application for employment through our career site and willing to take a drug test and submit to a background investigation as part of the selection process.   Experience Requirements 5 years plant maintenance experience, certification or equivalent demonstration.    Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to talk and/or listen. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to grasp, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, to reach with hands and arms, climb ladders and stairs, balance, stoop, kneel and crouch and push or pull on objects. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. This position will require the use of safety equipment and clothing, including eye and hearing protection, hard hats, and respiratory protection and safety shoes. Where noise levels exceed allowable limits, hearing protection is required and provided.   Qualifications
