Key Responsibilities
- Month-End Close: Manage key aspects of the monthly close process, including the preparation of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations (Prepaids, Fixed Assets, Accruals), and variance analysis.
- NetSuite Data Management: Execute high-volume data uploads and CSV imports within NetSuite. You will be expected to format and sanitize large datasets efficiently to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Revenue Recognition: Assist in the application of ASC 606 revenue recognition standards, ensuring accurate matching of revenue and direct costs in a staffing environment.
- Process Improvement: proactively identify manual bottlenecks in billing, payroll, or reconciliation processes and utilize Excel or NetSuite capabilities to automate them.
- Audit Readiness: Maintain impeccable workpapers and supporting documentation to ensure a smooth annual audit process.
- Reporting: Assist the CFO with ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis using NetSuite Saved Searches and Excel modeling.
- Education: A bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
- NetSuite Experience: Practical experience with NetSuite or a comparable accounting system is required. Specifically, proficiency with CSV imports, journal entry mapping, and Saved Searches.
- Advanced Excel Skills: Must be highly proficient in Excel for data manipulation. Expectations include the ability to use VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Pivot Tables, and logical formulas to process large data sets efficiently.
- Google Workspace / Sheets Skills: Ability to utilize Google Sheets tools for data conversion and import. Knowledge of queries and linked sheets.
- Industry Experience: Experience in the Staffing industry or a similar high-transaction volume environment is a plus.
