Excel Truck Group, a growing East Coast heavy truck dealership, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their Roanoke, VA team. This is a critical role responsible for performing a variety of accounting duties primarily supporting the Accounts Payable process.  Â

Duties and Responsibilities:Â
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, general ledger accountability, and financial reporting, as well as financial profitability analysis and other special projects as assigned. Â
- Prepare monthly financial statements, reports and records by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information. Â
- Support the strategic financial goals and initiatives of the operational departments of the company.Â
- Responsible for general ledger. Â
- Fixed asset processing and reporting. Â
- Maintain bank accounts by requesting disbursements. Â
- Monitor reserve accounts and short-term fund investments. Â
- Review bank statements. Â
- Research and reconcile all discrepancies. Â
- Audit and verify documents. Â
- Follow internal controls. Â
- Ensure the accuracy of financial records and forecast anticipated results. Â Â
- Financial and profitability analysis on a requested basis.Â
