Schedule: Day Shift l Full time | Monday-Friday 7am-3pm on call requirements

How you'll make an impact in this role

  • Prepare specialized cardiovascular operating rooms for complex procedures by ensuring precise assembly of sterile fields, specialized instrumentation, and equipment.
  • Maintain seamless surgical flow during high-acuity open-heart and vascular cases by anticipating surgeon needs and delivering specialized instruments with expert timing.
  • Enhance patient safety and surgical access through expert assistance with transport, dynamic positioning, and sterile draping tailored to cardiovascular access sites.
  • Prevent retained surgical items by rigorously organizing, managing, and tracking all instruments, sponge, and needle counts to achieve 100% accuracy across every phase of surgery.
  • Directly support patient stability during critical interventions by assisting the surgical team with rapid hemostasis, vessel retraction, and field management.

What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • One or more of the following required:
    • Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
