Job Title: Construction Manager
Location: Waco & Temple, Texas
Project Start Date: June 1, 2026
Project Duration: 24 Months
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Construction Manager to provide owner’s representative services for a multi-year portfolio of projects within existing VA Medical Center campuses in Waco, Texas. This position will support ongoing new construction, renovation, and operational project assignments in active healthcare environments. The role requires full-time, on-site presence and close coordination with VA staff, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide owner’s representative construction management services
- Assist VA engineering staff with the planning, execution, and operations of construction projects
- Coordinate design professionals, construction contractors, and end-users
- Monitor and manage cost, schedule, quality, safety, and project documentation
- Generate regular project reports and maintain accurate records
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with applicable codes, standards, and safety requirements
- Support project execution within an active healthcare environment while minimizing disruption to operations
Required Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of on-site construction experience
- Knowledge of construction means and methods
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Quality Assurance (QA) experience required
- Experience with cost control and schedule management
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant college degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
- CQM-C certification
- Healthcare construction experience
- U.S. Government project experience
Work Environment & Conditions:
- Full-time, on-site role within an active VA Medical Center campus
- Requires adherence to strict safety and operational protocols in a healthcare setting
Position Type:
- Full-time, project-based (24 months)
Total Compensation Range: $110,000-125,000, commensurate with experience
