Job DetailsJob Location: E Commerce 1700 S New Rd - Waco, TX 76711Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $13.00 - $13.00 HourlyJob Summary The eCommerce Associate is responsible for selecting, evaluating, photographing, and listing donated merchandise for online sales. This role ensures accurate item descriptions, professional product photography, proper inventory management, and timely shipping to maximize Goodwill's online sales and profit margins. The Associate maintains inventory systems, ensures the correct flow of merchandise, and follows all safety and operational procedures. This role supports multiple functions within the e-commerce department and focuses on meeting daily and monthly performance targets.   Key Responsibilities   The following duties are representative of the essential functions of this position. Additional duties may be assigned as operational needs require. Merchandise Evaluation & Listing Sort incoming merchandise into appropriate stations. Visually inspect items, separating by category and evaluating acceptability. Pull purgeable throughout the week and follow proper disposition procedures. Create detailed, accurate, and appealing descriptions for online listings. Photograph items professionally for online posting. Post items for sale using proper keyword descriptors. Test electric merchandise and wipe clear electronic items. Use self-authentication plus authentication software to identify genuine items. Collect empty storage totes to display for pickup. Monitor and maintain general supplies; submit resupply requests to the eCommerce Manager and put away incoming supplies. Inventory Management Conduct weekly audits of listed items. Assign listed merchandise to proper storage locations using inventory software. Monitor inventory discrepancies and report to the eCommerce Manager. Ensure the correct flow of merchandise from receipt to shipment.  Shipping & Customer Service Prepare items for packing. Package products by wrapping, measuring, and assembling boxes with designated machines to prevent damage. Utilize shipping software to calculate the best rates and generate shipping labels. Prepare shipping manifests for carrier pickup. Monitor and maintain shipping supplies; submit resupply requests to the eCommerce Manager and put away incoming supplies. Responsible for all shipping and handling duties. Respond to customer inquiries as directed. Capable to operate a simple dolly.  Safety & Facility Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all operational and safety procedures. Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of common areas. Report any safety concerns to the eCommerce Manager. Other duties as assigned.   Supervisory Duties   None.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Minimum Requirements Experience in retail and knowledge of gaming, jewelry, media, antiques, collectibles, clothing, and accessories is strongly preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, smart devices, internet browsers, and computer skills. Proficient typing skills preferred.   Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Adaptable to new ideas and environments. A sense of urgency and consistency. Basic computer skills and proficiency with inventory and shipping software. Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively. May be required to operate a pallet jack and/or hand dolly.   Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee regularly works in an indoor eCommerce/warehouse environment and may be exposed to dust, lint, and animal hair from donated goods. Noise levels vary from quiet to loud depending on operational activity.
