Job Description

AbbVie is seeking a Production Planning and Control Technician II to support manufacturing and packaging operations by coordinating production-related documentation, assisting with operational planning, and helping ensure compliance with SOPs, cGMP requirements, and site safety standards. This role partners closely with Production, Planning, Receiving, Finance, and Manufacturing leadership to help maintain efficient, compliant, and high-quality operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, prepare, write, and distribute documentation related to the production and packaging of filled products manufactured, packaged, tested, and inspected at the site.
  • Ensure batch record documentation is completed accurately, thoroughly, and in a timely manner.
  • Investigate, document, and distribute deviations related to out-of-limit processes or components, obtaining required signatures and follow-up as needed.
  • Develop trend lines and analyze production data to identify opportunities to improve packaging and production efficiency.
  • Support and coordinate training for filling employees and assist in onboarding as needed.
  • Review and update fill area SOPs to support current job functions and site requirements.
  • Provide coverage for the area when the shift supervisor is unavailable.
  • Represent the filling area on the safety committee and support site safety initiatives.
  • Work safely and follow all plant and departmental safety policies, environmental health and safety procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Perform duties in accordance with departmental SOPs and cGMP requirements.
  • Stay current on revised and newly issued SOPs, procedures, and training requirements relevant to the role.
  • Complete and maintain required cGMP and safety training.
  • Participate in team meetings, supervisor meetings, department training sessions, and other informational meetings as required.
  • Contribute ideas and input to help analyze and resolve production issues.
  • Support the development and training of less experienced team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience required
  • Working knowledge of cGMPs with hands-on practical experience preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and SAP preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Ability to analyze data and identify trends
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across functions
  • Commitment to quality, compliance, safety, and continuous improvement
  • Ability to adapt and support team and department priorities

  • The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this roleat  the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on manyfactors  including  geographic location, and we may ultimately  pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be  modified in the future. ​
