Job Description:

This position is the primary Quality and Food Safety (Q&FS) partner for site Activity Management across all value streams in providing technical leadership in the adherence to the Quality Management Systems (QMS), for enabling the execution of Site Engineering and Activity projects to meet all external legislative requirements and all internal Quality & Food Safety global standards.

This role will be onsite at the WAC Snacking site in Waco, Texas. This role is a member of the site Q&FS team and partners closely with regional and site Engineering CVS. The job holder is responsible to deliver quality input on proposed and in-progress projects that could impact food safety at the site and ensure equipment put in place follows clean design principles. This must be documented through formal risk assessment and included in CVS handovers. Main interfaces outside Q&FS are with Supply (Operations, Reliability, and Engineering), Regional Engineering (CVS).

What are we looking for?

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or closely related scientific or technical disciplines.

Or

  • Combination of 4-year degree and 2+ years of demonstrated success in relevant manufacturing/quality experience.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in Food Science, Food Safety, Engineering, Chemistry or related technical field.

And

  • 2-3 years of experience in different quality related areas such as raw materials, distribution, manufacturing

Or

  • 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing site managing quality and food safety management systems responsible position related to food safety or Quality and food safety management system

Knowledge & Experiences:

  • Knowledge of GFSI Quality Systems such as SQF, BRC, FSSC22000 or ISO9000

  • Knowledge of GMP, food allergens, pest control, sanitation, and food safety regulations

  • Ability to work in fast paced team environment.

  • Ability to work in teams, collaborate and influence others

  • Experience in creating, owning and driving programs and processes

What will your key responsibilities be?

  • Serve as key Q&FS stakeholder for all Site Activity, Engineering and CVS initiatives and projects (new equipment installation, infrastructure capital projects, Master Plan initiatives, etc.) ensuring adherence to Quality & Food Safety Standards and Regulations.

  • Lead QFS input for engineering related projects within the site, lead CVS, Handover process for Quality and Food Safety and participate in PRP reviews.

  • Lead Q&FS inputs for Asset Health Check, Change Management and Technical Risk Management at the Site.

  • Responsible for delivering quality agenda throughout CVS process (risk assessments, audits, coordination, and management). Responsible for attending project meetings as Q&FS representative for all current and proposed projects.
