Work Schedule: Hours scheduled primarily during regular business hours, Monday-Friday 8-5, with some evenings, weekends and holidays as needed for events 

Desired Length of Employment: Fall and spring semesters, 2026-27 academic year 

Pay Rate: $13/hr

Job Description:

  • Assist with departmental programs/initiatives as assigned including, but not limited to:  Steppin’ Out Day of Service, BearAid Disaster Relief, Missions Week, departmental service organization meetings and events, mission trip preparation and training, and student leadership trainings

  • Communicate with Baylor and Non-Baylor individuals who have inquiries about Missions, Service & Public Life events/programming 

  • Support student leaders in planning organization meetings, events, and service.

  • Serve as a Mission Trip/ Service Trip leader if qualifications are met and schedule permits 

  • Essential qualifications: able to lift 25 to 50 pounds regularly, to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces, to see and respond to potentially hazardous situations during community service site inspections, to occasionally ascend/descend a ladder, steep ramps, or stairs to access event materials/supplies, to work in extreme weather (heat and/or cold) 

  • Preferred qualifications: relevant background and experience in cultural or religious diversity and belonging, experience in curriculum design, mentoring and/or leadership, and ability to drive for MSPL events and activities (pending approval through Baylor’s Driver Training)
