Work Schedule: 10-20 hours per week. The Youth Program is held Monday - Thursday from about 4:00 pm - 6:30 pm. We ask that work study students are available 2 of the 4 days. Additional time outside of these hours may be scheduled to assist with administrative tasks.

Desired Length of Employment: Fall/Ongoing

Pay Rate: $11.00-12.50/hr

Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY - Assist the Youth Program by helping to plan and implement daily activities. Build relationships with program participant youth. Enforce all rules and discipline. Help with administrative and cleaning tasks as needed. MUST BE ELIGIBLE for FEDERAL WORK-STUDY. This is off-campus employment, so reliable transportation is important.

FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITIONS - Prepare daily program activities (gather equipment, setup rooms, etc.) Help supervise youth in daily activities. Help prepare and implement the daily activities at program. Supervise the youth and all volunteers. Assist with various cleaning and administrative tasks. If 21 years or older with a driver’s license and good driving record, you may receive training to assist with transportation to assist with picking up youth from school and transporting to the Mission Waco program.

REQUIRED HARD SKILLS - General office skills. Good written and oral communication with others.

REQUIRED SOFT SKILLS - Mature and adept communicator. Flexibility and ability to prioritize well. Problem solving competence. Mature Christian Faith.

LEARNING OUTCOMES -Improve communication skills with various people demographics. Improve problem solving ability. Some knowledge of customer service with various demographics. Improve knowledge and understanding of youth development.

Hourly Rate: $11-$12.50/hour (depending on new or returning student worker status and/or any recognized special skill level)
