Job Summary: The Warehouse Team Lead is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient workflow, accurate inventory management, and a safe working environment. This role includes supervising warehouse staff, coordinating shipments and deliveries, and maintaining high standards of productivity and quality.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Supervise daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, order picking, packing, and shipping.
  • Assign tasks and provide direction to warehouse associates to meet operational goals.
  • Ensure that all inbound and outbound shipments are processed efficiently and accurately.
  • Monitor workflows and adjust as needed to support changing priorities or workloads.
  • Lead, motivate, and train warehouse staff to achieve performance targets.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to team members to promote skill development and accountability.
  • Assist in scheduling work shifts and ensuring proper staffing levels.
  • Support new employee onboarding and ensure adherence to company policies and safety procedures.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with regular cycle counts and audits.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in inventory or shipping documentation.
  • Ensure all products meet quality standards before shipment.
  • Oversee proper labeling, packaging, and handling of materials.
  • Enforce safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular safety checks and report potential hazards promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with warehouse regulations, company policies, and local laws.
  • Identify opportunities for operational efficiency and cost reduction.
  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement improved warehouse processes.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to optimize operations and track performance metrics.

Qualifications: 

Required

· High school diploma or GED.

· 3+ years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership role.

· Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.

Skills and Competencies: 

· Strong leadership and communication skills.

· Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.

· Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

· Knowledge of safety protocols and warehouse best practices.
