Position: Facilities Technician (experienced / minimal Supervision)
Location: Greenville, SC 29615 (on-site)
Standard Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 7 AM-4 PM (days)
Minimum Starting Pay: $21.00/hour, based on experience (hourly, full-time)


Job Summary
Our Facilities Technician helps to ensure that all company facilities and equipment are in perfect working condition by following preventative maintenance schedules and performing repairs as needed. They also assist with the remodeling of our facilities to include electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general construction work. Repairs, maintenance, and construction responsibilities are accomplished using hand tools and other specialized equipment. This position plays a key role in supporting a fast-paced environment to ensure a quick turnaround of projects and minimal downtime of facilities and building equipment. We're looking for someone experienced enough to take ownership of this work and run with it, with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform a wide variety of building maintenance, construction, and repair tasks including basic HVAC, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, and other related work
  • Learn and perform maintenance and repairs on a wide variety of highly specialized equipment requiring a high level of precision and attention to detail
  • Follow preventative maintenance schedules and use CMMS software to accurately update schedules
  • Document new procedures and preventative maintenance schedules for new equipment
  • Take ownership of projects from start to finish, prioritizing and problem-solving independently with minimal direction
  • Miscellaneous duties as needed

Required Qualifications
  • Experience with common hand tools including drills, impact wrenches, saws, etc.
  • Knowledge of basic materials, tools, and equipment used in the building trades
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage a workload with minimal supervision
  • Detail-oriented
  • Critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
  • Superior dexterity
  • Team player with a strong work ethic and sense of urgency to complete tasks on schedule
  • Initiative
  • High school diploma
  • Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Note: Employment requires passing a background check and drug screening.
Desired Qualifications
  • 2- or 4-year degree
  • In-depth knowledge of one or more building trades (i.e., HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry)
  • Previous building/equipment maintenance experience
  • Equipment operator experience (forklift, scissor lift, etc.)
