SUMMARY
Coordinates and safely implements the Authorized Work Schedule and Emergent activities. Includes the evaluation of activities for Work Risk, Operational and Reactivity impact. Interfaces with the schedulers to ensure schedule is accurate, timely, complete and properly maintained. Assists in the development, implementation, analysis, and reporting of performance against established site and department goals/performance indicators for the assigned department. Participates in the development of corrective actions to address adverse trends detected based on performance indicator results or to address areas for improvement identified in self-assessments.
EDUCATION
- High School/GED or equivalent (Required)
- Associate’s degree in a Technical Field (Preferred)
- Without the above degree, military service and training may be considered.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 5 years of Nuclear Power Plant experience in one or a combination of Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Project Management, or Scheduling (Required).
- 10 or more years of Nuclear Power Plant experience in one or a combination of the areas listed above (Preferred).
LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS
- Current or previous Senior Reactor Operator (SRO)/Reactor Operator (RO) Certification or License (Preferred)
- Or Non-Licensed Journeyman Plant Operator Certification (Preferred)
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinates and safely implements the Authorized Work Schedule and Emergent activities. Evaluates activities for Work Risk, Operational and Reactivity impact.
- Develops and approves Authorized Work Schedule (AWS) scope changes and implements assigned portions of on-line maintenance schedules.
- Supports scheduling, work execution, and performance review processes from T-7 through T+1.
- Monitors Schedule Level A/B, Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA) and Balance of Plant (BOP) Trip Risk activities.
- Facilitates Challenge Reviews under Work Control Guidelines.
- Coordinates schedule changes per Work Control Guidelines and communicates changes to stakeholders and updates frags.
- Leads the Daily Status Meeting during their assigned implementation week.
- Attends schedule development meetings and chair meetings as required.
- Interfaces with the schedulers to ensure schedule is accurate, timely, complete and properly maintained.
- Performs the Risk Analysis for the individual work weeks including categorizing individual activities. Develops the Work Activity Risk (WAR) plans for items requiring a WAR that are identified between T-5 and T-1 time frame.
- Participates in the preparation of Risk Managed Technical Specifications (RMTS) implementation, Extended limited condition of operation (LCO) Work Weeks, Forced outage/down power events and other special projects.
- Coordinates the development, implementation, analysis, and reporting of performance against established site and department goals/performance indicators for the assigned department.
- Identifies and develops corrective actions to address adverse trends detected based on performance indicator results or to address Areas for Improvement identified in self-assessments.
- Ability to track work activities planned, in progress and completed as assigned.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accept ERO position as needed.
- Accept outage position as needed.
- Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted access.
- Successfully complete General Employee Training (GET) as required for position.
Environmental & Physical Requirements
- Environmental and physical requirements are subject to crouching, stooping, bending, twisting and/or lifting up to 30 lbs; ascending/descending stairs; sitting for extended periods of time; and spending considerable time in front of computer monitors.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Overtime and alternate work schedules as needed.
- Subject to callouts twenty-four hours per day seven days per week.
- Travel may be required.
- May be required to carry a phone.

- Site – Due to the nature of the work, this position requires work to be performed in the field and/or at the work site.Â
